Outdoor Education at 青青草视频


Students can learn more about the world with Outdoor Education and Camps.

From Year 4 onwards, students are offered the chance to learn more about their country and the world with Outdoor Education, Camps and Tours. 

These experiences teach about the environment develops teamwork, hands-on skills, self-esteem and physical stamina while enriching the classroom experience.

Hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, swimming, and First Aid training are just some of the activities undertaken in Outdoor Education programs.

Camps may include trips to local or interstate National Parks, interstate ski tours, visiting Parliament in Canberra, exploring the Great Barrier Reef and cultural experiences in Singapore.

Canberra

In Year 6 all students have the opportunity to attend a 7-day tour to the nation鈥檚 capital which is aligned to the Year 6 curriculum focusing on civics and citizenship.

Staying within Canberra鈥檚 CBD students visit sites such as:

  • Australian Institute of Sport
  • Embassy Drive Tour
  • Royal Australian Mint
  • Australian War Memorial
  • Museum of Australian Democracy

Ski Trips

Year 8 and 9 students have the opportunity to attend ski trips in either Falls Creek or Mount Hotham. This trip is over 6-days and gives students a day in Melbourne to explore the city before they experience 4 days of skiing with lessons provided by the local Snowsport School and finish with a final day in Melbourne.

Camps

The camp program at 青青草视频 allows students to develop life-skills that are otherwise unobtainable in a classroom environment. Preparing students for real life through our camp program places emphasis on learning areas such as:

  • Critical Thinking
  • Teamwork
  • Communication 

Our camp program runs from Year 4 to Year 9, until students can elect to participate in specific Outdoor Education classes. The programs are different for each year group and can include: archery, bushwalking, mountain biking, rock climbing, swimming/snorkelling activities, repo courses and visiting Indigenous rock art sites and other sites of significance.
